To make growing plants easier, change the simulation options that control plant growth. Choose Simulation from the Options menu on the garden window. The simulation options window will appear.

In the simulation options window, the buttons to the right turn on and off individual plant optimal growth options (click Plants to see plant options) and auto operations (click Soil auto to see auto operations). The buttons do as follows:

Magic: Turns on all plant optimal growth options all auto operations.

Beginner: Turns on all plant optimal growth options except optimal germination, optimal radiation, optimal water uptake, optimal temperature, and ignore photoperiod. Turns on all auto operations except auto irrigation.

Advanced: Turns off all plant optimal growth options except optimal phosphorus uptake, optimal soil strength for root growth, ignore leaf senescence, ignore aluminum toxicity, and ignore aeration stress. Turns off all auto operations.

Expert: Turns off all plant optimal growth options all auto operations.

To make growing plants easier, either click the Magic or Beginner buttons, or turn on individual options in the Plants and Soil auto panels by clicking on the check boxes.

Click OK to save your changes or Cancel to abandon them.
