What is an inflorescence? An inflorescence is a plant structure that holds flowers. For example, the umbrella-shaped structure on a Queen-Anne's Lace flower is an inflorescence that holds up the tiny flowers. We distort the botanical meaning of inflorescence slightly to include situations where there is only one flower. |
