What is a plant bitmap? A plant bitmap is an off-screen bitmap PlantStudio uses (optionally) to speed up drawing by saving each plant's picture separately. If a plant needs to be moved but has not changed, copying from its bitmap is much quicker than redrawing it. However, plant bitmaps increase PlantStudio's memory requirement by several megabytes, so you should only use them if you have enough memory to support them. For more on plant bitmaps see Using plant bitmaps. |
