What is a focused plant or 3D object?
In the main window or the plant mover, the focused plant is the first plant you clicked on in the list of plants or in the main window
drawing area. If only one plant is selected, that is the focused plant. When
you add more selected plants (using Control-click or Shift-click or by
rubber-banding in the drawing area), the focused plant does not change. You can change
the focused plant by deselecting the selected plants, then clicking on the plant
you want to focus on. It works in exactly the same way for 3D objects.
In the main window,
The focused plant determines which age, parameters and rotations are shown (when you change one of these values, all selected plants get the new value). The focused plant is renamed when you choose Rename from the Plant menu. The focused plant is saved to a DXF file when you choose Save DXF File from the File menu. The focused plant is drawn into numbered animation files when you choose Save Animation Files from the File menu. The focused plant is the only visible plant if the Show Focused Plant Only option is on in the Options menu. The focused plant is the first breeding parent when you choose Breed from the Plant menu (the second breeding parent being the first non-focused selected plant in the plant list). In the plant mover, The focused plant is shown in the preview. The focused plant is renamed when you click Rename. In the 3D object mover, The focused 3D object is shown in the preview. The focused 3D object is renamed when you click Rename and edited when you click Edit. |
