Changing color and 3D object options for breeding
Colors
During breeding, color parameters can either be treated as non-numeric
parameters or as numbers. If colors are treated as non-numeric parameters, they will
just be copied from one parent or the other. If colors are treated as numbers,
they will be varied around the "mean" parent color using the mutation and
blending options just as if they were numbers. You will get a color distribution
roughly similar to what you would expect -- if mutation is high, colors will vary more than if mutation is low.
To change whether colors are bred as numbers,
Choose Custom from the breeder Variation menu. Click the Colors and 3D objects tab. Check or uncheck Mutate and blend colors as numbers. 3D objects For really fantastic variation, you will want to randomly choose the leaves and other 3D objects on the plant. If this option is turned on, each time you breed a plant, the program loads the 3D objects in the current library and randomly chooses a 3D object from the list for each plant part that requires a 3D object. If this option is off, 3D objects are treated as non-numeric parameters. To change whether 3D objects are randomly selected from the library during breeding, Choose Custom from the breeder Variation menu. Click the Colors and 3D objects tab. Check or uncheck Choose 3D objects randomly from current library. You can change what 3D object library is the current one here by clicking the Change button and choosing a new 3D object library file. The file you choose will become the new current library file and will be used elsewhere in the program as well. How this works with the breeder Variation menu: For the Low and Medium choices in the Variation menu, color and 3D object variation is turned off; for High variation both of these choices are turned on. |
