Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: sorbed/adsorbed/absorbed

Something adsorbed to a second thing (usually a larger thing) is attached to the outside of the second thing. You could say that a bandage stuck to your hand is adsorbed to it. On the other hand, something absorbed by a second thing has been taken inside the second thing. When you eat, the food is absorbed by your body (most of it). You can remember the distinction between these because the 'd' in adsorbed is pointing out away from the 's', but the 'b' in absorbed is pointing in towards the 's'. Sorbed means either absorbed or adsorbed, so the total material sorbed by your body might include a bandage and your lunch.
