Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: determinate/indeterminate

The distinction between determinate and indeterminate plants is similar to the annual/biennial/perennial distinction. A determinate plant grows for a specific period of time (even in the best environment), flowers, and dies. An indeterminate plant could theoretically live forever, if it had the perfect environment and was undisturbed.

For example, some tomato varieties (usually the bush ones) are determinate and will die even in a hothouse. Other tomato varieties (usually the vine ones) can be kept alive and growing in controlled environments for a long time.
