Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: New soil patch tool action

The new soil patch tool action creates a new soil patch based on the soil type selected in the box on the garden window toolbar after the tool action box.

To create a new soil patch, pick up a tool that has the new soil patch action (like the shovel), then click somewhere on the main part of the garden window and drag to create a rectangle roughly the size of the patch you want to make.

As soon as you release the mouse button, the soil patch basic parameters window will appear. Change any settings for the new soil patch, then click OK. Note that soil patch area and base soil type can be changed only at soil patch creation. It is important to set the soil patch area if you intend to simulate a real situation such as your back yard.

As soon as you stopped dragging to create the soil patch, the tool action on the garden window toolbar will switch to shape soil patch.

To undo creating a soil patch, choose Undo from the garden window Edit menu.
