Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Mix soil tool action

The mix soil tool action affects the layers of soil within a soil patch by redistributing many simulated materials in the layers, including nutrients, organic matter, sand, silt, and clay. This simulates cultivation and loosening of the soil by garden tools or by equipment. Mixing the soil in Garden with Insight does not affect plant roots or mulch.

To mix the soil in a soil patch, pick up a tool that has the mix soil tool action (like the shovel), then click inside the soil patch. To change the depth of mixing, choose another value from the box on the garden window toolbar labeled depth. To change the area of the mixing implement used (to simulate the effect of different tools), choose another value from the box on the garden window toolbar labeled area.

To undo mixing soil, choose Undo from the garden window Edit menu.
