Setting variables to true and false in the variables list

Turning variables on and off

You can click to the left of any
variable in the variables list to set the state of the variable. The plus picture indicates that the variable is true, so if it missing, the variable is not true. By clicking to turn on or off the plus sign, you are manually doing much the same thing the system does automatically as a player moves through the story world.

If you have selected to display only variables that are true (by having the button with the plus sign down), you will see only true variables in the list. So when you click on the plus picture next to a variable, the variable will disappear from the list because it is no longer true. To see all the variables, click the plus button off (raising it again).

Undoing

You can undo any changes you make to variables in the variables list by using Edit | Undo in the player window. Note that this is a different undo command from the one in the world editor window and that it changes a different undo list.
